2024 Contractor’s Breakfast

Hosted by the Kootenai County Utilities Council (KCUC) and Inland Empire Utility Coordinating Council (IEUCC), the 2024 Contractor’s Breakfast took place on Wednesday, January 17 at the Center Place Regional Event Center in Spokane Valley, Washington. The highly anticipated event included updates from the National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), the City of Spokane, and One Call Concepts. Attendees connected over a delicious breakfast buffet, and $2,800 of door prizes were awarded to make the morning even more exciting. This year’s event was sponsored by IEUCC, KCUC, Avista, TC Energy, Williams Pipeline, Marathon, and Phillips 66/Yellowstone. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Idaho State Dig Law changes coming July 1, 2023

The Idaho House of Representatives and Senate have passed changes to the Damage Prevention Statue. These changes will impact all utility members, contractors, and even homeowners who take part in and utilize the Call Before you Dig (811) services for marking underground utilities prior to excavation. These changes will take effect July 1, 2023.

Positive Response Training

May 3: Free Positive Response Training

KCUC and One Call Concepts are providing training for the new positive response system that is now being used in Kootenai County.

The session will be held Wednesday, May 3 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Coeur d’Alene Inn. After the training, there will be the council meeting and a free buffet lunch for all attendees.
